Our desire as the Gluten-Free Twins is to teach what has worked for us to have the most optimum health, both in our bodies and minds.
We were diagnosed with Celiacs Disease in 2010 and have learned sooo much. Hence, that’s why we created this blog…to pass on all the tips and learning we have gained. We will be sharing foods, products, recipes, favorite gf companies, ways to deal with the emotional side of any health diagnosis, travel tips, and much much more!
We focuses on health, relationships and better creating all types of better connections. We love supporting others to gain overall better health and wholeness. By addressing all areas and relationships in your life, you can gain clarity and that next level of success.
We believe in applying mentoring principles to open the mind, clear the heart, and connecting deeper.
Hey there! I found a great passion in processing and understanding emotional health. Just like our physical bodies need attention, our emotions need addressing as well. Our emotions are the fuel that drive us! You won’t go far on a polluted tank of gas. Our emotions can either fuel us forward and sustain us or hinder us, hold us back, or move us at a slow pace. By discovering your road blocks and obstacles (the things that hold you back in life) you can experience a new level of freedom. I always enjoyed being a stay at home mom, helping in the community, church callings, volunteering in schools, and at the local hospital, but knew there was so much more to my mission on the earth. The month my youngest started school, I began fulfilling my passion for learning full time and went back to gain more education and training’s. Psychology, human behavior, and the functions of the mind have always intrigued me. I’m a playful and curious person and I’ve had fun along the way!
In 2010, I was diagnosed with Celiac’s Disease and that opened the door in a new direction for healing. I began a journey of healing to the core of who I am. I love giving guidance, direction, and hope for children and adults who have the challenge of an auto-immune disease. I have overcome and found ways to manage some sever health challenges; including chronic fatigue, migraines, post-traumatic stress disorder (from an emergency C- section), anxiety, chronic pain, and fibromyalgia. I was inspired to see how much healing I could do in 2013, and within 7 months I was able to let go of 65lbs without working out, changing my food, or trying a “magic pill”.
Emotions are extremely powerful and I discovered a key to why people, especially women, struggle with maintaining a healthy weight. As a woman, we carry stress in two ways: one in body fat and one in tension. I was told once that I’m like an “emotional plastic surgeon”…helping others find their true inner beauty and loving their body along the way.
My sister Annica and I have created 2 programs for children…The Arise Program (life skills course for children ages 8-12) & You Are What You Eat (creating healthy connects with foods and our bodies). We were awarded a grant by the State of Utah to teach 5th and 6th graders. For years we taught a class in the community called Raw & Real, where we helped educate about living a gluten-free lifestyle and health. We have taught and mentored over 3,600 children, teens, and adults. We absolutely love helping others to reach their goals and find healing in their lives.
I love being creative, dancing, playing soccer, cooking, traveling and most importantly spending time with my 2 girls.
I believe in creating the life and relationships you want! I try to handle lifes challenges with ease and grace, knowing I have the understanding and ability to get through it. I enjoy sharing what has worked for me and I continue learning along the way while creating amazing memories and relationships.
Hi guys! I was born and raised in Roy Utah. In 2001, I graduated from Weber State University with a degree in Elementary Education. Since then I have taught a variety of ages, from Kindergarten to 6th grade. I LOVE to teach and educate others….from children to adults. I married my husband in 2001 and we had our first son Landon in 2004. I didn’t realize in just a few years the curve balls that were coming my way. Looking back I have so much GRATITUDE for what life has thrown my way.
In 2010, Monica and I were both diagnosed with Celiac’s Disease. We set out on a new journey together to learn as much as possible to find ways to heal our bodies. We went to work to continue educating ourselves for another 5 years of mentoring & health classes. In 2014, I was so happy to find out that my Celiac panel blood work was in normal range. Yeah!! So cool that the body CAN repair itself and HEAL!
Through our journey of healing we created 2 programs for children…The Arise Program (life skills course for children ages 8-12) & You Are What You Eat (creating healthy connects with foods and our bodies). We were awarded a grant by the State of Utah to teach 5th and 6th graders. We LOVE teaching in all forms! For years we taught a class in the community called Raw & Real, where we helped educate about living a gluten-free lifestyle and health. We have taught and mentored over 3,600 children, teens, and adults. We absolutely love helping others to reach their goals and find healing in their lives.
Part of my journey was going through 10 years of infertility. I found myself at a deep depression and disappear that I didn’t know existed. Wanting to create life was a driving force in me. I invested time, money, and my body into trying everything possible to have more children. The doctors were baffled because they couldn’t find answers to why pregnancy wasn’t occurring for me. After my second attempt at IVF and no pregnancy occurring, I felt impressed to study the emotional side of the body. I found so much learning and healing in this area, along with continuing eating a gluten-free diet.
In 2014 (the same year my Celiac blood work came back normal), I was soooo excited to find out I expecting…might I add with no medical procedures or medicines! I found for me there was a BIG correlation between having Celiacs Disease and infertility. In July 2015, I delivered my healthy baby boy, Jedi…proof once again that the body can heal! I truly believe we have power to create anything we put our minds and hearts into (even when others say it’s impossible). I LOVE sharing my journey through infertility & having our miracle baby, helping others see the connection with eating gluten-free and infertility.
I love to spend time with my husband and 2 boys! We are a family that always seems to have a “project” we are creating in our house. I will be posting some projects in the blog so you can see. We love living on our “mini-farm” and spending time with our chickens, goats, dogs, and cats.
I feel life is one big classroom and I love being both a teacher and student!
