We have had mentors in our lives since we were little. Our mom believed in that and always provided opportunities to learn from others in their expertise. When the amazing Sadie Jane Sabin announced she was offering a workout series called #strengthwithin we knew we wanted on board.
Over the past decade we have had mentors to help us understand the mind, mentors to help us understand gluten-free living, mentors to help us spiritually, and now it’s time to have a mentor help physically. We are into week 2 of this 5 week series and it has been the best investment!!
Our intention in joining this series was different from each other.
(Annica) The gift of having Jedi at age 37 years old was different than having my other son in my 20’s. My body is in a totally different state…I can feel the difference physical in my body being “slightly” older. Jedi didn’t start sleeping through the night until he was 18 months old and I physically had forgotten what it felt like to not get good rest night after night, month after month. Plus I nursed Jedi till he was 2 and noticed my metabolism was different. So this series was exactly what I was looking for.
(Monica) I find it fascinating what the body and mind can do! We are always changing and transforming because we live in a state that is in constant movement and change (if we are aware of it or not). With the stress of my unexpected divorce and all that has transpired in the last year with healing and new life as a single mamma, I’m once again reminded of the power of letting go and what stress can do to our bodies. As women, we can carry our weight in 2 ways: body fat or tension. For me, my health goal continues to stay flexible and strong. Every movement with the intention to stay present, feel, deal and heal life and create more of what I want. So as my journey continues, I’m excited to see how my physical body continues to transform as I let go (of whats not needed) and create more (of what I desire).
“Change is inevitable, Growth is INTENTIONAL!” -Glenda Cloud (thank you Sadie for sharing this reminder)
The #strengthwithinseries leaves you with practical application, a great support group, and amazing mentors to learn from! We have always felt women need great support groups and this is one we give two thumbs up in being apart of!
Empowering women, empower women!
